GET INVOLVED
Volunteer Code of Conduct
Thank you for putting your hand up to support this community-driven campaign. Volunteers are the heart of everything we do, and your time, energy, and willingness to help genuinely make a difference. This Code of Conduct covers how we work, what to expect, and where to find help when you need it. We’re excited to have you with us.
Who We Are
About the Campaign
This campaign is built on community engagement, respectful conversations, and practical support. Volunteers help us connect with people, run events smoothly, and keep operations organised behind the scenes.
Your contribution helps ensure our activities are safe, welcoming, and well-run.
Our Principles
- Kindness – we assume the best of each other, look after ourselves and each other, and treat everyone in the community respectfully, no matter what
- Integrity – we do what we say we will do, we are open and honest with ourselves, each other and the community, and we do what’s right, not what’s easy
- Relationships – we build long-term relationships with each other and the community in ways that everyone benefits from, and we listen deeply to what others are saying and meaning, even when their views are different to ours
- Sustainability – we are as clean and green as possible, we use resources responsibly, thinking about where things come from and where they’ll go, prioritising items we can reuse over things we can recycle and minimising anything that will go to landfill
- Community benefit – this campaign is designed to benefit the community in as many ways as possible, so we prioritise events that genuinely help people (such as organising a book/toy/clothes swap, helping at a community garden, picking up litter or opening up respectful debate and dialogue) over salesy “vote for Kylie” events
